Skills

Event Branding / Logo Design

For San Diego State Universities Graphic Design Studio Course, we were given the opportunity to create a series poster for their upcoming 2026-2027 year. We were also asked to create a 100th anniversary year logo to celebrate the SDSU’s season of theatre.

In my series approach, I aimed to connect the posters with symmetry. Each title and information are condensed in the middle. They also have slightly muted tonal colors and all have a border. Inspired by paper sculpture, I added slightly darker shades from each graphic to help relieve it from its ‘flatness’ and is why I input a canvas texture. Each poster has a symbol that highlights the underlying meaning of the story and still utilizes negative space.

Final Logo

For the logo, I was inspired first by theatre-driven ideas. Overall, I went with the logo that captured their intended demographic, which was towards students and the San Diego community. The initial posters I designed also had an illustrative approached, which can be seen through my final vector graphics.
